In a two-year period export of Kuban products to Hungary has grown by 49%

Alexander Ruppel, Vice-Governor, discussed the promotion of bilateral collaboration with Norbert Konkoy, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary in Russia.

Representatives of Hungarian business community also participated in the meeting. According to Alexander Ruppel, over the last couple of years bilateral relations between Krasnodar region and Hungary has been improving and developing.

– Over the last couple of years the export volume of Kuban products to Hungary has grown by 49%. Following the results of the past year, the foreign turnover between Krasnodar region and Hungary made 31 mln dollars. Since early 2021 this sum has already exceeded 15.5 mln dollars. The сore of merchandise exports are oilseeds and fruits, that of imports – machinery equipment, cereals, trees and plants, articles of ferrous metals. However, commodity items are changing year-to-year, thus we suggest that the the issue of building up trade relationships should be addressed systematically, - stated Alexander Ruppel.  

Promising trends for expanding partnership were identified during the meeting. Among them are localization of new Hungarian production lines in the region, development of deep processing of agricultural products, humanitarian collaboration and promotion of Kuban wines to Hungarian market.
