The investment potential of the Krasnodar Region is presented to German business

The Kuban Governor, Veniamin Kondratyev, discussed cooperation with Germany with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Russian Federation, Geza Andreas von Gayr, and the Chairman of the Board of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce, Matthias Schepp.

The event is held in Moscow, at the residence of the German Ambassador, as the press service of the Administration of the Krasnodar Region reports. As the German Ambassador noted, the purpose of the event is to bring the Krasnodar Region closer to German business by presenting to entrepreneurs from Germany projects in which German businesses can participate.

Germany is one of the five leaders in terms of investments in the region’s economy. German companies have invested about 55 million EUR over the past 5 years. Claas’ production facilities are located in the Krasnodar Region, and Renus began construction of a logistics center for storing seeds and fertilizers.

In 2020, the trade turnover of the Krasnodar Region with the Federal Republic of Germany amounted to 189 million USD. Printed materials, mineral fuels, mechanical engineering equipment, and ferrous metals were the basis of the exported products. And mechanical engineering equipment, chemical products, as well as ferrous metal, paper, and cardboard products, were the basis of the imported products.
