The Krasnodar Region signed agreements for almost 162 billion rubles at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

This is almost 10 times more than in 2019. 7.7 thousand jobs will appear in the region as a result of the implementation of investment projects.

– We have seriously increased our investment portfolio over the past two years, since the last Forum. Compared to nine agreements for a total amount of 17.1 billion rubles we signed in 2019, we have 22 agreements for a total amount of almost 162 billion rubles today following the results of this year’s Forum. For our part, we will make every effort to implement the signed agreements, – Veniamin Kondratyev said.

Most of the signed documents concern the development of industry and tourism. The largest ones concern the modernization of the Afipskiy Oil Refinery worth 46 billion rubles and the reconstruction of the Primorskaya Hotel worth 21 billion rubles.

Also, 29 billion rubles are invested in the construction of three large hotel complexes in Anapa, and 13 billion rubles in the construction of 4- and 5-star hotels. It is planned to be constructed a hotel complex worth more than 3.6 billion rubles in the village of Esto-Sadok. Several agreements touched upon the agro-industrial complex; for example, a selection and genetic center for dairy farming will appear in the Pavlovsaya District.

This year, the key topic of the region’s participation was the development of export opportunities. The presentation materials focused on three key areas: the export of industrial goods, agricultural products, and tourism services.
