Linseed oil exports to China via Krasnodar Region ports exceed 7.6 thousand tonnes

Between January and April 2026, specialists at the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal Centre for Safety and Quality Assessment of Agricultural Products confirmed the quality and safety of seven export consignments of linseed oil, with a total volume of over 7.6 thousand tonnes. All the products were shipped to the People's Republic of China, according to the branch's press office.

The product is in demand on the Asian market for use in the food industry and in the production of dietary supplements.

Over the course of four months, laboratories at the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal Centre for Safety and Quality Assessment of Agricultural Products have tested over 450,000 tonnes of vegetable oils — sunflower, rapeseed, soya, and linseed — intended for export.

Sunflower oil continues to account for the bulk of exports: specialists tested 47 consignments with a total weight of 392.6 thousand tonnes. The largest buyers are India (over 241 thousand tonnes) and Turkey (over 126 thousand tonnes). Large consignments are also being shipped to Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Soybean oil exports rose by 23% compared with the same period last year, exceeding 21.9 thousand tonnes. Rapeseed oil shipments to Tunisia, India, and Saudi Arabia over the four-month period reached 21.9 thousand tonnes.

All exported products undergo rigorous checks to ensure compliance with Customs Union regulations and the standards of the importing countries. Laboratories test the oil for toxic elements, radionuclides, mycotoxins, dioxin content, and pesticide residues, and for the absence of genetically modified organisms, as well as analyse its fatty acid composition.
